It can also be used in the body for similar purposes such as to fade surgical/acne/wound scarring, as well as stretch marks. Creating a filter-free glow.

PRP is a natural treatment that uses your own plasma to create desired effects on the skin and hair. By obtaining your own blood and isolating the platelet rich plasma which is full of growth factors and active proteins, it stimulates your skin to repair itself and produce collagen and elastin further. This is ideal for patients looking to further soften their fine lines and wrinkles that have developed overtime, target sun and environmental damage, correct textural irregularities or fade unwanted pigmentation. Overall it can result in a tighter, smoother and more even complexion. PRP can be used as a serum through microneedling and/or injected directly in problem areas (i.e. under eye darkness to lighten the skin). This is an ideal treatment for those who want an overall improvement in their skin especially for those who aren't ready to take the plunge (yet) in injectables such as botox and fillers.

It can also help with thinning hair through injections to the scalp. PRP can improve density and thickness to your hair through the growth factors within it. It does so by signaling your hair follicles to remain in a longer growth phase and for dormant follicles to be induced, resulting in an increase in density, length and pigmentation.
